I didn’t absolutely love this, but that’s not to say I didn’t also devour it in a very short space of time and enjoy it while I was reading it. I appreaciate how Emily St. John Mandel has built her own world and populated it with characters that pop up again and again across her books, filling out more of the details of their lives each time. I’d quite like to read Sea of Tranquility again to remind myself of the fates of some of the characters that appear here. A fine book.
