Hurricane Frances has come and gone, leaving the yard a bit worse for the wear, but keeping the house mercifully intact and all of us inside of it safe and sound. Weathering the weather was a somewhat harrowing experience which I shall blog about in greater detail at a later date, but for now I’ll point you to this: a Dave Barry column on hurricane preparedness which, for obvious reasons, really hit a funny bone with me today.
