This is a really well-written and intriguing book; you try to figure out the connections between the story lines right from the start. It has an interesting narrative structure, but neither the structure nor plot twists are that bizarre if you habitually read science fiction. The book got great reviews about how groundbreaking it was, but I wonder if regular readers of SF would find it all that remarkable. Still, it’s prompted me to want to read other books by David Mitchell.
