I very much enjoyed this new Ann Leckie book, not least because there are some interesting linguistic aspects to it that tickle my linguist’s fancy. She also comes up with scenarios and ideas that just strike me as new and unusual, which is exciting. I didn’t know where this book was headed, but I enjoyed both the journey and the destination. Well worth a read.
