The Final Solution: A Story of Detection by Michael Chabon

A quirky little book, oddly old-fashioned in its telling, with a funny-interesting twist at the end. Michael Chabon knows how to craft a good sentence, and even though I’m not a huge fan of detective stories as such, his writing is always a pleasure to read. There was something about this book that reminded me of Nick Harkaway (maybe it was the vague feeling of melancholia and menace, maybe it was the bees). A pleasant diversion.
