Agency by
November 2020
I was completely transported by The Peripheral (the first book in this series), and while Agency was fun, it was not only the same immersive, intense level for me as its predecessor. Comparing it with Gibson’s earlier trilogy of Pattern Recognition, Spook Country and Zero History, this definitely feels like the Spook Country of this new series, a diverting bridge between a brilliant first book and what I hope will be a brilliant last book. That said, a fast-paced near-future romp is just about all my brain can handle right now, so Agency was perfect reading for the times.
