A breather

My final term paper has been handed in, and for the first time since I don’t know when, I actually have nothing to do. Well, that’s not strictly true; there’s always something I should be doing. But there’s nothing immediate, nothing really hanging over my head, so I can do what I’ve been meaning to do for ages now and blog this: Flickr!
I’ve become a Flickr convert - as evidenced by the fact that I’ve posted 61 photos to my Flickr photo page in the past three weeks (mostly photos of food!). For me, Flickr is to photography what having a blog is to writing: it acts as a storage space and a motivational tool at the same time. It’s a place to publish stuff, and it’s a place that makes you want to publish more stuff once you’ve started. And the coolest thing about Flickr is the social aspect - there’s a lot of interaction going on there, both with the photos themselves and with the other people posting photos. It’s a nifty, nifty site.
I also wanted to point out a new section in my sidebar: my del.icio.us links. These are links to things that have caught my fancy, but that don’t necessarily warrant a whole blog entry. I haven’t been updating them a whole lot lately, mainly because I haven’t had time to be surfing the Web, but hopefully in the coming weeks there will be some interesting sites to link to there.
