Heading for longhorn country.

After an absolutely hectic week of work, Jeremy and I are off to Austin tomorrow for a week of South by Southwest. I’ve been endlessly regaled with stories of how brilliant the SxSW conference is, so I’m looking forward to finding out for myself if it’s all it’s cracked up to be. If nothing else, I’ll get to hang out with friends old and new, eat barbecue and drink margaritas (or perhaps Shiner Bock), and enjoy the 90 (!) degree temperatures. I’m having trouble getting to grips with the fact that it will really, truly be hot and sunny there. I had to turn the heating way up in my house today (to remind myself what it feels like to be warm) before I could bring myself to pack t-shirts and summer skirts rather than heavy sweaters and scarves. If both the conference and the weather live up to the hype, I shall be a very happy girl indeed.
