Anniversary

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

Eight(!) years ago yesterday, Jeremy and I tied the knot in Sierra Vista, Arizona, in a church festooned with signs reading “Do not handle bats”. The preacher wore cowboy boots, my brother (the “man of honor”) was forced to hold my bouquet for the duration of the ceremony, and we cut our wedding cake with a saber (not a lightsaber, just the normal kind) under the watchful gaze of a painted cowskull.

It was lovely and quirky—and here’s hoping the next eight years are as lovely and quirky as the past eight have been!

Now that you describe it as quirky…I have to agree.
