Britain from Above.

This. looks. AWESOME.

It’s a new series on BBC 1 called Britain from Above, which has essentially taken the kind of thing that OpenStreetMap and other organizations have been doing for a few years—i.e., visualizing GPS traces and other data—and turned it into a television show.

I’m fascinated by data visualization, and by maps, and by looking at the earth from above, so I’m really looking forward to the start of this series on Sunday. I hope it’s as good as it looks like it could be.
