No mo’ NaBloPoMo.
Tuesday, December 1st, 2009
Gosh, I can’t believe it’s December already. I also can’t believe that I made it to the end of another NaBloPoMo with very little hardship—so little hardship, in fact, that I didn’t even realize NaBloPoMo technically ended yesterday. Yay, I made it!
I’m sad it’s over because I know that without the impetus it provides, I’m going to slip back into my non-blog-updating ways. At the end of NaBloPoMo two years ago, I launched right into Holidailies, confident that my new-found motivation would carry me right through December and into the new year.
I was wrong. I started off okay but eventually found it impossible to keep up the flow in the face of transatlantic travel, jet lag, family gatherings, and the lure of lazy holiday TV.
I’m going to try to do better this year. I hesitate to commit to another full month of non-stop blogging, but at the same time I think if I don’t commit, I’m not going to do it. So I’ll half-commit: I’ll keep it up for as long as I can, but if it comes down to a choice of sitting by myself and blogging or sitting with my family and eating mince pies…well, the family and mince pies are going to win.

Your Loyal Literary Fan Club would be happy with a couple posts a week. ;o)

I should think with this family, you’ll come-up with something to write about!
