Though I’ve tremendously enjoyed Haynes’ other retellings of Greek myths, this one didn’t really grip me for some reason. Perhaps it packs more punch if you don’t already know the story of Jocasta—and I won’t spoil it here. Whatever the case, this book was enough to pass the time, but it fell a bit flat for me otherwise.
