My 15 minutes of fame. by
March 2000
Wow!
This site was the Project Cool Sighting for the 20th of March! I’m amazed, and flattered, and completely, utterly thrilled! Which is why I keep ending every sentence with an exclamation mark!
What makes me happier than just having lots of people come and look at the site is the fact that a bunch of you stuck around a bit, read things and even left comments in the forum or wrote personal emails to me. Thank you for doing that - getting so much feedback is really fantastic. And I promise that I’ll comment on your comments and reply to personal emails as soon as I get the chance.
Of course, now I have a guilty conscience about the many areas of the site that are a bit…thin. I kick myself for not having started to put up the tons of recipes that I have for the eating section. I’m mad at myself for not going through all those photographs for Vision like I’ve planned to do for 2 weeks now. I feel lame for not having worked on all the half-written movie reviews and rambling, unreadable essays on music that I’ve been meaning to finish for a very long time.
Ah well. You came, you saw, you read - and Jeremy and I were so happy that we danced around the living room like maniacs. It was a good day. It was a great kick-start to the week. It energized me after the dreary dreaded Sunday.
It’s also given me new impetus to write, write, write. I know that stagnation is death to a website, and I’ll do my best to update on a regular basis. So if you happen to wander by here again on your journeys through the World Wide Web, stop in for a bit, put your feet up, and take the time to read a new tale or two. I promise to try to keep things interesting!
