It has the most detailed descriptions of what it would really be like to deal with space travel, e.g., the difficulties of high-speed travel, acceleration and the times and distances involved. There are vivid depictions of space battles (which reminded me of the naval battles in Patrick O’Brian books) and realistic-feeling portrayals of space colonies. I enjoyed this book immensely, even more than the first one in the series.
