This memoir of sorts was written by a former head server at Per Se restaurant in New York. While it gives you a good peek behind the scenes at one of the world’s best restaurants, it’s also self-indulgent at times and peppered with passages (like random political diatribes) that seem to come out of nowhere and have no real bearing on anything else. An interesting (if you’re into restaurant insights) but uneven read.
