Jeremy read this book a few years ago and said it was “really weird,” which is pretty much par for the course for Christopher Priest. So I started reading it and thought, yeah, this is weird. And then it got seriously weird, and then there was a “wait, what?!” moment, and finally it was “wait, WHAT?!” - and I can’t really say more than that without spoiling it, so I’d just advise any SF fans out there to read it for themselves. It’s short and unsettling and very enjoyable.
